Today, we gather in remembrance and gratitude—for a life well lived, a heart well shared, and a
friend whose presence enriched our lives in countless ways. Pastor Norril was a true man of God
and a true friend.

He was more than just a friend to our family, we became family. For many years, through every
season of life, he stood beside us. In moments of joy and in times of challenge, he offered steady
companionship, wise counsel, and unwavering support. His presence was a quiet strength, a
comforting constant.

What made Pastor Gumbs so special wasn’t just the warmth of his smile or the generosity of his
spirit, but the way he made people feel—valued, seen, and heard. He had a way of showing up,
not just in the big moments, but in the everyday ones. He would often travel from Montserrat, to
visit us, not out of obligation, but out of love.

Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being present, he made life a little
brighter for all of us.

The memories we share—of conversations over his daily, very strong morning coffee, the
children eating the many mangoes he would bring in his bag and his high-pitched voice when he
got a joke are treasures we’ll carry with us always. Though we mourn the loss of his physical
presence, his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, and the love he gave so freely.

We are truly grateful for the years of friendship and the love that never asked for anything in
return. To his family, our family, you remain in our prayers. We sorrow not as those who have no
hope because our hope is built on the Resurrection Power of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Be comforted that he is in the arms of his Saviour.
